Suwalif Tea was born through its founder’s love and passion for tea, who would blend his own special tea at home. He became known to family and friends for his luxurious tea blends and recipes that would leave them all wanting more. His passion would eventually become his calling, as he sought to bring his blends of tea to the world.
Suwalif is a specially blended tea known for its traditional great, natural taste and aroma. We only work with the finest tea gardens around the world and we view our growers as a natural extension of the Suwalif family. Through the wonderful and rewarding process of blending various tea leaves, and testing and tasting them, we have developed our own unique signature blend of delicate and aromatic teas to quench your thirst and bring joy to your soul.
This process of tasting, refining and perfecting is overseen by our founder, Mr. Maher Mahfoodh, ensuring that each blend produced is simply extraordinary.

“Suwalif�? is Arabic means conversations, often associated with drinking tea as the preferred social drink served during gatherings and family visits. Suwalif Tea is deeply rooted in the heritage of Bahraini people where their main gathering places were the traditional cafes in the heart of the “Souqs�? of Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Suwalif Tea brings back the memories of those simpler times, with a special and authentic Bahraini blend.
Our founder’s mission has always been a simple one, to create truly exceptional products and share the joy of his blends of tea with the world.
Babul Bahrain is one of Bahrain’s main landmarks, located at the heart of the old capital, Manama and represents the gate to the Souq that was full of all the traditional old cafes where workers, merchants and visitors enjoyed their tea while they socialised and exchanged stories and conversations.
